Defender Paul Reid`s return to first-team action in the last league game against Stockport was marred by him displaying a classic sign of injury!

Despite coming through the match with an unharmed ankle, his mouth seemed to run away with him, instead.

When the man who was out for seven months was asked about the quality of support received from club staff during his lay-off, he blurted: “I`ll give a bit of a mention to the previous manager, although he`s not the most popular person around here at the moment.”

This is a classic case of amnesia, since the former Barnsley player previously complained at feeling “out in the cold” under Lambert`s authoritarian stewardship.

Reid was on record as saying he felt Lambert deliberately avoided mentioning updates regarding his progress.

You thought he was fully recovered? In light of an apparent selective memory, think again!
