Preston NE 1-0 Colchester

Colchester fell to a 1-0 defeat at Deepdale after David Nugent gave the U’s the worst possible start to the Christmas period.

The U’s cause wasn’t helped as they lost captain Karl Duguid in the first minute. The U’s skipper recieved a stud in the eye after a collision with Preston ‘keeper Carlo Nash.
