Colchester United continue the search for their first win of 2007 when they entertain automatic promotion chasers Preston. The U’s drew their last home game 1-1 V Leicester and lost their last game 3-2 to local rivals Ipswich Town.
The U’s made use of not being involved in the FA Cup to spend a few days of warm weather ‘training’ while tonights oponents were in London beating Crystal Palace in the cup.
Colchester returned from a three-day training break to Spain without any fresh injury concerns ahead of their clash with promotion rivals Preston.
Jamie Cureton is the only doubt, having been suffering with a hamstring injury.
if included could be his last game for the U’s before sealing a move to Premiership Reading.
Andy Lonergan looks set to keep his place in goal for Preston, after Carlo Nash stated he wanted to quit the club.
Jason Jarrett (groin) and Danny Dichio (dead leg) are doubts, while Patrick Agyemang and Joe Anyinsah are out, but Callum Davidson (hamstring) may return.
striker wanted by many Premiership clubs, North End have done well to hold onto him.
