Two points out of six for Aidy Boothroyd as Colchester United manager may not sound great but like the man himself says ‘It’s a start.’
The U’s 1-1 draw with Swindon followed last weekend’s hard-fought point against Southampton.
‘We dug in, and when you do that you have a chance of nicking it at the end. If we had defended better from our own corner, then we’d probably be going home with all three points,’ Boothroyd admitted, post-match.
The U’s led after 20 or so minutes, with Ashley Vincent knocking Kevin Lisbie’s flick-on past the Town ‘keeper, only for the hosts to draw level before the break.
And Boothroyd optimistically concluded: ‘However, it could have gone either way at the end. Two points out of my first two games isn’t great, but it’s a start and something for us to build on. We have showed that we are difficult to beat.
So what do you think?

hello everyone, just wondering if anyone has an idea what the result might be on saturday. My view is that hartlepool are struggling a bit, lost a few games and think we might be on the losing end, NAH 2-0 camolodunum
The first game before his home crowd on Satrday should be an actaul cracker! Will be great to help sing the team to a win, in an ideal world!
