Full-back Marc Tierney has undergone a scan on his injured shoulder to reveal the extent of the problem.
It is not yet known whether the Colchester United man dislocated his shoulder in Tuesday’s draw at home to Dagenham & Redbridge – a question the scan will answer.
Speaking to the official website, U’s manager John Ward explained: ‘We are going to find out if his shoulder was dislocated on Tuesday and the results of the scan will tell us how best to look after him and when he is likely to be available in the future.’
Tierney looks certain to miss this weekend’s tough trip to Milton Keynes Dons.
