Colchester travel to Scunthorpe on Saturday afternoon still in search of their first win of the season.

Chris Sedgwick is poised to make his first start for Scunthorpe following his recent arrival on non-contract terms but the game is unlikely to see Paul Reid (hand) make his return to the starting XI despite returning to full training.

Few changes are expected for the hosts.

Colchester aren’t troubled by that many concerns so John Ward could name the same XI that fought back to draw with Crawley in midweek, meaning Andrew Bond and Freddie Sears are likely to remain on the bench.

Without a win at Glanford Park in more than 15-years the omens aren’t good for The U’s to break that run and gain their first three-points of the season.
