Vital Colchester`s latest poll has revealed that U`s fans feel that veteran striker Teddy Sheringham is the best penalty taker at the club.

Sheringham, who announced his retirement at the weekend, has scored two penalties for the U`s this season. The ex-Spurs front-man collected a impressive 57% of the vote.

Sheringham 57%

Lisbie 8%

Yeates 16%

  • Well both his penalties (against Preston and Peterborough) were top class finishers, both in the top corner. Class!

  • he has always been a top penalty taker he is a great player all round and will be missed
