Colchester Captain Karl Duguid is hopeful that he will be fit and available to face West Brom next week after being stretchered off in the last game at Stoke.

Duguid was taken off last week with an ankle injury but soon appeared on crutches after the injury was not as bad as first thought.

Karl who has been given the all clear to resume training said,’It’s not as bad as we first thought,’

‘It’s settled down and the swelling has gone down, so as things stand at the moment I’d say I’ll be fit.

‘It could flare up but hopefully I’ll be ready to face West Brom. It’s a big game and I certainly don’t want to miss it.’

Colcheter Manager George Williams will be hoping that his other injured players Watson and Sheringhbam will also be availble for the visit of the Baggies.
