Sky Sports are claiming a Colchester United bid that apparently never was has been rejected by Aldershot Town for striker Marvin Morgan.

The 27-year-old is supposedly courting interest from a number of sides, including Peterborough United, Swindon Town and Tranmere Rovers.

While Sky -also guilty of fueling the fire over Marc Tierney`s future earlier this summer – say the U`s tabled a money-offer for the League two man, both today`s EADT and Colchester Gazette report manager John Ward has actually declined to act on an initial interest in the player.

There have been a lot of phone calls this week and there have been some nos, some maybes and some call-me-backs,” Ward explained to the EADT, with no word on the Morgan situation specifically.

So Sky, or Ward himself, are bluffing here.

This one’s set to run!

Over to you, John Ward!
