Colchester United have bolstered their attracting options, signing Liam Henderson from Watford until January.
The young striker challenges Reading striker Dave Mooney, former Barnsley man Kayode Odejayi and one-time Cheltenham forward Steven Gillespie for first-team football with the U`s.
Ashley Vincent and Ian Henderson, already with the U`s squad, are primordially wingers but could also be deployed as second strikers under a potentially flexible formation favoured by boss John Ward.
Liam Henderson`s arrival, he has also previously spent time at Hartlepool United, sees the manager fulfil on his intent to replace former forwards Clive Platt (Coventry), Kevin Lisbie (Millwall / Ipswich), Scott Vernon (Aberdeen) and Frenchman Joel Thomas.
20-year-old Henderson has played so far 21 times for Watford and will know Colchester midfielder John-Joe O`Toole from his time with the Hornets.
