Ipswich Loan-man Lisbie proves that some speculation isn`t made up, after all…

Kevin Lisbie has officially admitted he clashed with Ipswich manager, Roy Keane, over his personal life before leaving for Colchester last week.

There was been plenty of speculation that Lisbie, 30, had some differences with Keane over refusing to move closer to Town`s training ground, which lead to the manager questioning the player`s commitment levels.

I have not got on with the gaffer [Keane]. I have five kids and he wanted me to move down into the area. Of course I`m still contracted to Ipswich, and if it doesn`t work out here, then I`m still a Championship player,” Lisbie told the EADT newspaper.

Keane has a reputation as a harsh manager, brought on for example by his decision to drop three Sunderland players during his time there because they were late for the team bus.

Well, Town`s loss has so far become Colchester`s gain, as Lisbie could make his U`s total tally a round 20 his week, if he manages to net at all in the League Cup tie tomorrow against Leyton Orient.

After his two goals against Norwich on Saturday, United manager, Paul Lambert, made is clear what he felt about Kevin. “Lisbie`s been a top player for years,” he said on BBC Radio Essex. Quite.
