League 1 continues this weekend with Colchester back in action with a home game on the menu this time round.

Colchester are at the Weston Homes Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon when Port Vale are the opponents.

We are without Alex Gilbey (suspension) after he picked up a fifth booking of the season, which carries and automatic one-match ban.

Frankie Kent (head) is available again, and could return, with Sanchez Watt and Craig Eastmond also seeking recalls.

Port Vale’s Tom Pope is out along with Carl Dickinson and Stephane Zubar (both suspension). Dany N’Guessan could start for the first time for his new club.

Ahead of the game Colchester boss Tony Humes told BBC Essex: ‘Port Vale, with a new manager and a win last week, will be a tough task.

‘Our two consecutive wins at home have given the players a confidence boost.

‘It has relieved a bit of pressure on them.’
