Colchester’s recently improvement continued at the weekend, but we had to be content with a home point.

Bradford would have come to the Weston Homes Community Stadium in confidence but Colchester’s improvement continued but the win we probably deserved didn’t come, we had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

The best of the chances came our way definitely.

In the first half Bradford ‘keeper Jordan Pickford had to make a good save from Sanchez Watt’s freekick with his best being a brilliant save from a cracking George Moncur volley from the corner of the area.

Bradford’s best, and only real, chance came in the second half but Mark Yeates was denied by Sam Walker.

Freddie Sears, who went into this game as a doubt, did beat Pickford but Bradford captain Stephen Darby got back to clear off the line with Sears once again denied late on in a nil-nil draw.
