Colchester United forward Jamie Guy has left the club by mutual consent, while youngster Russell Malton heads out on loan.
Guy, 22, has seen off-field problems plague his five year U’s stint and departs after failing to feature regularly under Aidy Boothroyd. The powerful front-runner has now inked a deal at Blue Square Premier side Grays Athletic, managed by West Ham legend Julian Dicks.
Meanwhile, U’s YTS product Malton has agreed a temporary spell with Billericay Town of the Ryman Premier League. Malton enjoyed a productive spell out on loan earlier in the season and will be hoping for a similar result with Town.
Vital Colchester would to wish both Jamie and Russell the best of luck.

Good to trim down the squad, it was never going to work out for Guy and its good to see Malton get more experience.
