David Perkins has today sealed a loan move to the U’s League One rivals Stockport County.
The diminutive midfielder will spend the rest of the season with the cash-strapped Hatters, with his U’s future all but over. Perkins, 27, has just returned from a loan spell with Chesterfield and now heads back North to Edgely Park.
Perkins is likely to go straight into Counties squad for tomorrow night’s clash with Swindon Town.
Vital Colchester would like to wish David the best of luck in his time with Stockport.
