Colchester United captain Karl Duguid says the strong inner-belief inside the U`s squad will help them turn their season around.
Duguid, who is currently the clubs longest serving player, claims the U`s squad are still confident as they head in tomorrows clash with Sheffield Wednesday, at Hillsborough.
Geraint Williams men are winless in seven and are currently lying in a lowly 20th place, just two points off bottom.
The captain supreme, 29, says he and his team-mates are unconcerned by the negativity outside Layer Road.
“We know what it`s like in the dressing room and on the training ground. What people think on the outside is not really a concern to us.
“We know what the atmosphere is like in the dressing room and what a confident bunch of people we are.
“We will continue to be like that and hopefully we`ll continue to get the results from now on,” he told The Evening Gazette.
Duguid is confident the U`s can leave Hillsborough with a positive result:”We`ll be confident at Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow and hopefully we`ll get the result that we`re all looking for.
“We`ve played well against Wolves but we`ve done the same all season away from home.
“We`ve been getting decent points away and if we keep starting brightly then we will always have a good chance of picking up points.”
