Colchester United have today completed the permanent signing of Leeds United defender Matt heath.
Heath, who was on loan at Layer Road at the back end of last season, has found himself out of favour at Leeds so has decided to play his football elswhere. The big centre-half impressed manager Geraint Williams, along with the U’s fans. Heath’s move will be confirmed subject to Football League and FA paperwork clearance.
Heath is likely to be the first of many summer signings as Williams revamps his squad following relegation from the Championship.
Vital Colchester would like to welcome Matt back to North Essex.

Good player, experience is vital at that level.
How do you rate him, then Steve?
Well has looked good with Coyney at the back, has done well, good signing for a free! Made a blunder away to Scunny though.
