Colchester United have completed a deal to sign Alan Maybury on a free transfer.

The 30-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a deal until the end of the season. The former Leicester City man has been training with the U’s for the past three weeks and featured in the Essex Senior Cup.

Maybury will be hoping to make Paul Lambert’s squad for Saturday’s visit, to another of his ex-clubs, Leeds United.

Cheers! 😉 Pretty much agree, but would bring Baldwin in for Coyne, and maybe White for Maybury.

I think the U’s should lower their admission prices. In the late 40’s I was an apprentice Plumber and I wouldn’t miss a home game the prices then must have been low as my wage would have been a “pittance” yet I didn’t notice the cost, admittedly the U’s were Southern League then but the crowds were more than double that are being experienced now. It could only help the home results to have a larger vocal crowd in attendence, it would lift the players no end by getting their adrenalin going big time. Footballers are show ponies and love getting attention!
