Something of an exodus of ‘unwanted players’ has taken place with Colchester in the past week or so with Dominic Vose becoming the latest player to move on.

It was announced this week that a mutual agreement had seen his contract, which would expire at the end of the currently season, terminated and he will now seek ‘pasture new’ going forward.

Tony Humes made it clear to Vose that he wasn’t in his first-team plans and he was made available for loan, we didn’t get any takers before the emergency loan window closed last week though.

With it better for all concerned it was agreed he should move on but he was of course wished well by the boss.

On is departure Humes told the official website: ‘It was a mutual decision to let Dom go and this is an opportunity for him to go elsewhere and kick start his career.

‘Things didn’t quite happen for him here but we wish him all the best for the future.’

Vose was brought to the Weston Homes Community Stadium by former boss Joe Dunne but the 21-year-old struggled for involvement under Humes when he took over from our former boss.
