Goal-grabbing Richard Garcia, whose sweet drag-back, followed by a goal, on Saturday against Sunderland made what was his seventh of the season, has come out in the East Anglian Daily Times today to confirm Colchester`s play-off ambition.

“Hopefully, someone will slip up over the last couple of games,” said Garcia, whose side face Stoke away next weekend.

Both Colchester and Stoke, along with Southampton, lie on 69 points, one outside the all-important zone.

After Saturday`s 3-1 victory, in which the Ausie winger scored the second said:”No one probably believes that we can make it, but we are very ambitious boys and we fancy our chances.

“We know that we are putting pressure on ourselves, by continuing to win and getting up there. But we like it that way.

Layer Road has had a massive effect. The crowd is great and our confidence at home is a big issue. We are a very attacking team at home and we believe that we can beat anyone.”
