COLCHESTER UNITED have been linked with moves for defensive duo Lee Beevers and Danny Woodards.
Beevers and Woodards, of Lincoln City and Crewe Alexandra respectively, are both available of free transfers, with their contracts up this summer.
Beevers, a 25-year-old centre-half, is thought to have already held talks with Paul Lambert over a switch to the Weston Homes Community Stadium, although SPL side Motherwell are also in the hunt.
While, right-back Woodards, also 25-year-olds, is set to leave Crewe, following the club’s relegation and is keen for a move down South, with Norwich and MK Dons also keen.
