U’s Net Duo On Loan

Colchester United have today completed two deadline day loan deals.

Veteran goalkeeper Jimmy Walker joins from West Ham on a loan deal which will run til January. The 35-year-old will compete with Dean Gerken and Mark Cousins for a place between the sticks.

Left-back Marc Tierney also joins, on an initial five week deal, although a permanent transfer looks likely. The 23-year-old Shrewsbury Town man will provide cover in thread-bare U’s defence.
