Colchester United new Community Stadium is just ten months away from completion and, in a recent press article has been labelled a “new dawn” for the club.
Chair of the stadium development board Dave Murthwaite said in yesterday’s EADT: “The view of the Community Stadium from the A12 has great impact.
“It is a significant development that is helping to raise the profile of the town,” he added.
After more than a decade in the pipeline, the County Council agreed to finance the project of re-locating to a 10,000-seater site away from Layer Road as the side looks to establish themselves in the Championship.
