The season ending injury to Magnus Okuonghae has led Tony Humes to move into the loan market once again by bringing in Will Packwood.

Okuonghae’s ruptured Achilles sustained in the one-nil defeat to Coventry City at the weekend left us short of central defenders so Humes has moved to bring in the Birmingham City man.

Since making his Birmingham debut in 2012, the American is a produce of the clubs academy system, he’s managed to make 21 appearances for his parent club and also got some more first-team football with Bristol Rovers during an 8 game loan spell last season.

The 21-year-old has initially arrived on loan until 1st January 2015 and is inline to make his U’s debut in the trip to Milton Keynes Dons this weekend.
