Vernon Gives U’s Win

Colchester United beat non-league Aveley 2-1 in the Essex Senior Cup last night.

A U’s side, containing a number of first team players, fell behind to Junior Dadson, but two Scott Vernon penalties gave the home side victory.

The U’s will now face Romford at home in the fourth round.
