Colchester might have exited the Carling Cup this week although Kayode Odejayi, as he told BBC Essex, could not be happier.

7 goals in a couple of away games so far is some going and left the striker saying ‘you couldn’t really ask for a better start.’

It is not just the goals, The U’s are also playing good football: ‘you couldn’t really ask for a better start. A few of the boys are in amongst the goals.

‘We’ve scored seven goals and we’re playing some good stuff.’

On a personal note the 29-year-old has already notched 50% of the goals that he managed in the whole of last season, he has 2 in 2 compared to his season haul of 4 last time round!
