Colchester United`s versatile defender John White has spoken about his long-term plans today, having been on sidelines pretty much all season so far.
White, who was a mainstay during the club`s promotion season to the Championship under Phil Parkinson, has seen precious little action following the emergence of George Elokobi at left-back and Geraint Williams` decision to place Karl Duguid at full-back.
After just two starts this season, White said in the Colchester Evening Gazette:”My main aim is to carry on playing for Colchester United and if I can’t get there, then maybe it will be time to move on.”
The one-time Norwich youth man is still only 21 and could see an opportunity to emerge at the back should the want-away defender Elokobi leave Layer Road during the January transfer window.
Elokobi, who recently put in a transfer request, is believed to be a target of a Premiership side.

Am a fan of Whitey, feel sorry for him not playing.
He is now!
Yeah, I thought he would have gone to a higher League than Conference though? He said it was not what he had expected though.
