Newcastle United assistant manager Terry McDermott believes The Magpies will be signing players from Colchester United, if Kevin Keegan’s side get relegated.
Mcdermott told The Times: ‘The most important thing is safety and then we can talk about players. Until then, it`s a waste of time. You could talk about Ronaldinho, Steven Gerrard or David Beckham, but if we go down we`ll be signing players from Colchester and Gillingham.’
So will the U’s face a fight to hang onto their players?
