Williams: We’re Too Good, Too Bad

Colchester United manager Geraint Williams has conceded that his side must stop being so consistently inconsistent if they are to remain in the Championship.

The U`s managed a surprise 2-1 win at Charlton on New Year’s Day which fans had hoped would set them up for a good performance at League Two Peterborough in the FA Cup.

The latter never happened, as Colchester went down 3-1 at home in last weekend`s, leaving the boss frustrated.

“How can we fluctuate from that high to that low? It can’t happen if you are going to have success,’ said Williams.

‘At the moment we are either too good or too bad, and that’s two bad games now.’
