Wilson On The Way

One of the smallest squads in the Championship just got even smaller as Colchester United announced the release of former Charlton Athletic defender Laurie Wilson at the end of his contract.

U`s boss Geraint Williams admitted that the he got limited opportunities at right back because of the good form of first Greg Halford, and then John White. In between times, skipper Karl Duguid has become a regular in that position.

“He goes with our best wishes,” added Williams, “and we hope that he goes on to carve out a fine career.”
