Could Anthony Wordsworth be on his way to one of Colchester’s league one rivals?

Our friends at Vital Bournemouth have heard that they have made a bid for The U’s midfielder as DJ writes:

AFC Bournemouth have made a bid for Colchester midfielder Anthony Wordsworth.

The reports come on a busy day for the Cherries who have reportedly seen bids for Crawley striker Matt Tubbs and Wycombe forward Stuart Beavon turned down, while an offer reported to be in the region of £450,000 has been accepted by Brighton for Will Hoskins.

Sky Sports believe that the Cherries have made a bid for 23 year old Wordsworth who is a product of the Colchester youth set up.

He can play anywhere across the midfield, is known as a set piece specialist and has scored 9 goals in 27 appearances for the League One club so far this season.
