After some people have expressed concern that the U`s have lost their first two games in the Championship, Skipper and longest serving player Karl Duguid has moved to disregard such talk.

Colchester still have to register a point on the board folowing defeats to Birmingham and Plymouth.

Skipper Duguid said,’you dont go down just because you loose your first two games, we proved that last Season, having lost our first two, we then won our third at home to Barnsley, which is what we would like to do again this weekend.’

He added,’There isnt any point in looking at results yet. We went on to have a fantastic season, and we have already adapted well to life in the Championship.’

The omens look good for Colchester and his team mates, Karl earlier pointed out that we had Barnsley as our third game last year which we won, a repeat of which would be just what is needed.
