Former youth team skipper Greg Halford signed for premiership Reading today in a 3 and a half year deal.
After weeks of speculation Greg finaly got his dream move.
Greg has been a regular in the Colchester side since establishing himself during the 2003/04 season, making 136 appearances. Halford has agreed a three-and-a-half year contract.
Reading director of football Nick Hammond said ‘He is an outstanding talent – young, hungry and with the ability to become even better.’
Vital Colchester thank Grehg for his outstanding service, and wish him the best of luck and success in what promises to be a fulfilled career.
