Colchester United’s League One fixture with Yeovil Town, scheduled for Saturday, has fallen victim to the weather.

Much of the UK has been covered with several inches of snow in the past few days, as one of the coldest winters in a number of decade hits. With a large figure of games already postponed during the cold snap, the Huish Park encounter has followed. A 12.30pm pitch inspection took place earlier today and the match was subsequently called off.

No new date has yet been set for the rescheduling of the fixture, although the U’s are hoping for it to take place sooner rather than later.

  • Nice! At least it was decided way in advance! Aidy wants it decided again quickly… inside a week, all told!
