Colchester’s run of successive defeats ended on Tuesday at the fifth time of asking we avoided defeat as we secured a vital three-points against relegation rival Yeovil with a two-nil win at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

Walker had saved to deny Ugwu and Hayter giving Yeovil the lead but early in the second half, when Yeovil defender Smith brought down Murphy we had a penalty and the chance to take the lead. Fox (54) made no mistake to make it one-nil.
Having barely recovered from that setback Murphy (58) run through onto a Moncur pass to make it two-nil four-minutes later and that was that!
