Colchester midfielder Johnnie Jackson has spoken out after Colchester United were hammered 4-1 away to Cardiff City and have now dropped into the bottom three in the Coca-Cola Championship.
With the worst defensive record in the division Jackson has urged his team mates to take responsibility for their sides current position.
Speaking today in the Colchester Gazette Jackson said,’When we’re winning we all take the credit and when we’re losing we all have to take the fall.
‘It’s not down to individuals and if we’re going to get out of this situation we’re in, we have to be in it together more than ever.
‘It’s not the time for pointing fingers at individuals – it’s about taking responsibility as a team and resolving our problems.’
Adding,’We got to half-time in front and we were confident that we could close the game out in the second half,’
‘But within five minutes they were level and ten minutes later we were 4-1 down, so there’s obviously something seriously wrong.
‘It probably didn’t look like that we had that sort of team spirit against Cardiff the way we folded but hopefully it was a one-off.’
