Cowling Claims: I`ll make mark

Colchester United`s owner and chairman Robbie Colwing has promised to make a mark at Colchester United after agreeing amicably to instate ex controlling shareholder Peter Heard as President.

Heard, will oversee development of the club`s new stadium after the project spent more than a decade in the pipeline, quit the club last week.

In the Colchester Evening Gazette this week, Cowling said: “I’ll have some methods of my own that are different to Peter’s – but we have very similar values.”

“I’m massively ambitious and I’d love to take the club even further forward,” added Cowling, who became the controlling shareholder last autumn.
