Colchester United club captain Chris Coyne has once again been called upon by his country for international duty.

Coyne has been named in the latest Australia squad to take on Uzbekistan in a World Cup qualifier, on April 1st. The former Luton Town man will looking to add to his five caps he already has for his country.

Coyne, along with ex-U’s attacker Richard Garcia, are two of 22 players for coach Pim Verbeek to choose from.

However, the game clashes with the U’s League One encounter at home to promotion-hopefuls Leeds United.

The U’s entertain The Whites on April 4th, so Coyne’s international commitments could once again come under the spotlight.

So are you pleased for Coyne? Or should he put club before country?

If we get maximum points in the games before Leeds then it could be a major miss if he is with the national team. If we don’t then I think our season is pretty much over so wouldnt do any harm in losing him

And we’ve also got the Millwall game on 31st of March which I think he would miss as well. Like you say just depends how we do before them games. . .

If we are still in the mix by then surely he should drop out and concentrate on us? Its only Azerbaijan for christ sake. If in that situation he chose country over club then I think that would say it all regarding his future.

Yeah, surely if we had a chance of going up and playin Champ footy next season than that would be more important than one game for the Australia.
