Colchester literally paid the penalty on Saturday at Doncaster as a first half missed penalty at the Keepmoat Stadium when a penalty miss meant we missed the chance to go ahead – Doncaster deserved the win in the end, which they did two-nil….

When Porter was brought down by Wabara we had the chance to go ahead, Porter stepped up himself but the former Sheffield United man blasted this wide!

Butler and Razak both hit the bar before Doncaster finally took the lead through Stevens (39) when he fired home when we failed to clear a cross.

Further goals could have come Doncaster’s way but it wasn’t until Wynter brought down Furman, to give the host a late penalty of their own, that the points were secured when Tyson (83) made no mistake.

This defeat leaves us very much in relegation trouble but saw Doncaster move into the play-off places at the other end.

Attention now moves away from this game and turns to our next one against Notts County and we are looking for your view on what way this will go?
