Colchester United were tonight out of the Carling cup at the first hurdle from an extra time goal from Izale McLeod.

MK Dons made 10 changes from the team that beat Bristol Rovers at the weekend, while Geriant Williams handed Saturday`s scorer Jamie Guy a start up front along side Chris Iwelumo.

Colchester dominated the game chalking up 29 attempts on goal with 12 of those on target, however once again failed to make their advantage count.

Mcleod scored the winner from a deflected shot four minutes into extra time.

The U’s need to learn and learn fast, to date in all competitions they have played 5 and lost 5, Saturdays game at home to Derby in the Championship now becomes a must win if Colchester are to get their season started!

Has our mate Cureton scored any goals yet.

    he was crap against us

He has actualy looked very sharp, not sure that “Crap” is a very informative way of expressing a view though.

ED_CUFC you have to make allowances for the insecure people, he follows MK Donuts

Well they managed to beat us the other night, I would say that curo isnt getting the service though very much the same problem he had with you, but he seems to frighten the life out of the opposing defenders.

cureton is a good player and im clad he left swindon for u’s because he loved swindon and when dons beat them last season swindon fans gave him loads off abuse when he confronted them and i respect that from a player swindon fans need to learn to respect there top players (not that they’ve got any left) good luck for the rest of the season.

Cureton is a strange player, does all the right things looks good then fluffs it front of goal, he cost us dearly last season. Perhaps he was our scrapegoat for an awful season.
Hopefully CUFC can get a run of wins going in the league. Good luck…..see you off loaded that Tony Thorpe too… thats another story.

Thanks APG, funny really from watching football over tyhe last 10 years. Thorpe had always impressed me whilst playing for the opposition, Curo I would only dream about getting to play for Colu and when he did come he didnt let me down, so far this season apart from his confidence he hasnt let me down yet, like you say seems to do everything right but score, but when he does I expect plenty!

Thanks for good quality comments fellas makes the sites so much more fun.

what is that young player guy like he looked quiet lively when you played us

ED_CUFC glad you got that win – and low and behold like London buses wait for one and three come-along – Cureton done well by the sound of it.

  • ED_CUFC says:

Guy is a cracking playing, if but a bit greedy to be honest, he will come on, BTW Curo got a cracking Hatrick today and could have had five himself!

  • the rodge says:

about time he scored a few

  • ED_CUFC says:

A player like Jamie needs the right service, at Swindon I beleive he wasnt getting it and earlier on here the same problem.
