It has been confirmed that Jamie Guy is on the verge of a loan move to League Two Port Vale.
Vital Colchester already reported, here, how the striker was set for a short-term switch.
Guy, 22, has been on trial with Micky Adams` side and already scored once.
Guy worked with Adams when he was assistant boss to ex-United man, Geraint Williams, at Colchester and the U`s have this afternoon “in principle” agreed to lend him to the Vale Park outfit.
Micky Adams decided to comment on the on-going negotiations when asked, according to Stoke-based paper, The Sentinel.
Guy scored against Vale on loan with Dagenham and Redbridge last season and is a player Adams has admitted he likes.
So will a move do Guy some good?
