U’s Keen On Dutchman?

Colchester United are believed to be one of a number of clubs on the trail of West Bromwich Albion striker Sherjill MacDonald.

The U`s, along with their League One rivals Swindon Town, Yeovil Town and Peterborough United, are thought to be keen to take the Dutchman on loan, however, Championship side Blackpool are also interested.

MacDonald, 24, is currently on the fringes of the Baggies first-team and may favour a loan move away from The Hawthorns, in order to play regularly.

He joined West Brom permantantly, following a loan spell, for a fee of around £200,000 a year ago. A month or so later MacDonald impressed while on loan with Hereford United, netting six goals in seven outings for The Bulls.
