Vital Colchester have three copies of the Who’s Who of Colchester United to give away, for more information see the competition at the bottom of this article.

After 71 years at their delapidated Layer Road Ground, Colchester United are set to move to a brand new 10,000 capacity stadium, expandable to 18,000, for the 2008-09 season.

In The Who`s Who of Colchester United, life-long fans Jeff Whitehead and Kevin Drury celebrate the players who have played first team football during those ‘Layer Road years`. Incorporating appearance and goal statistics for every player, Whitehead and Drury also include a career history and many previously unseen photographs. No-one is missing here, from 1930s goalkeeper Ronnie Dunn, who ‘bugled` his team mates onto the pitch with ‘The Post-Horn Gallop`, to surprise wartime guest internationals and products of the present day youth scheme who have progressed to the Premiership.

The Who`s Who of Colchester United is a must for all U`s fans, and is a valuable resource for football followers and statisticians alike.
