Here is the latest news from the last week or so in the Coke Cola Championship:

The managerial merry go round is up and running with two managerial vacancies being filled in the Championship this week and another being vacated.

Glenn Roeder replaced Peter Grant at Norwich on Tuesday morning, the former West Ham and Newcastle United manager taking over with the Carrow Road club currently propping up the Championship.

The other vacancy filled was that of South London club Queens Park Rangers who replaced the sacked John Gregory with Luigi De Canio, the former Siena manager. Just like Glenn Roeder at City, De Canio has a very tough job ahead of him.

Gary Megson parted company with Leicester City after just six weeks at the helm. The former Nottingham Forest manager took charge of Bolton at the end of last week.

Leicester visit Layer Road on Saturday looking for another manager, which will amazingly be there third of the season already.

On the transfer front it has also been a busy couple of days, with a lot of loan deals going through, some of which could be made permanent in the January transfer window.

Here are a few of the most intriguing deals I`ve selected:

Neil Warnock has started his clear-out at Crystal Palace with former Hull defender Leon Cort joining Stoke City on-loan for two months, with view to a reported one million-pound January move.

Palace want Stoke`s Clint Hill to come in the opposite direction as Cort.

Warnock`s first signing as boss of Palace was that to bring former Barcelona trainee Frank Song`o, 20, on-loan from Premier League outfit Portsmouth.

Wycombe hot-shot Jermaine Easter joined Plymouth on-loan for two months with view to a two-hundred-and-ten-thousand pound permanent transfer, but some bad news for the Devon club is that Hungarian midfield ace Akos Buzsaky has joined Queens Park Rangers on a two month loan deal. The Londoner`s reportedly prepared to pay up to five-hundred-thousand pounds for the midfielder in January.

Fulham`s Dutch forward Collins John, 22, joined managerless Leicester City on-loan at the end of last week and scored on his debut at the weekend. Reportedly Fulham are preparing a two-million-pound move for Leicester`s Australian defensive ace Patrick Kisnorbo.

Cardiff City signed young Manchester City ‘keeper Kasper Schmeichael, on-loan. The son of Manchester United legend Peter has fallen down the pecking order since starting the season as City`s first choice’keeper.

Ipswich manager Jim Magilton has confirmed that the Suffolk club will not be offering a contract to veteran French forward Steve Marlet, once subject of an £11.5 million pound move to Premiership side Fulham, who scored for Town`s second string last week.

One team that won`t be signing anyone is Coventry City who have had a transfer embargo placed on them by The Football League. They have had trouble with the payments due to Southampton over the transfer of Leon Best, and also huge debts spiralling out of control.

Let`s just hope Colchester pull off some transfer coups in the coming weeks for us to write about!
