    Of all the transfer rumours, what is quite shocking is how many defenders we have been linked with, and the only striker we have been linked with is Grant Holt.

    Got the below email from a Daggers supporter about Magnus Okuonghae;

    Not impressed with Magnus tbh, he was going nowhere this time last season. We were the only FL club who would give him a chance 2 years ago and he spent a whole season injured pretty much. Then he doesn’t even make it clear to us what he’s doing and left us hanging til yesterday.

    I believe other clubs bid more than yourselves so obviously we are unhappy that he can choose where he goes and let a tribunal set the fee which may be less than we could have got. Can’t see us getting more than 50k but I would imagine we wanted more like double that.

    He really improved during last season, got yourself a decent prospect there. Very big, very strong, quick in general but a bit slow on the turn. His main problem is that he isn’t sure what to do when strikers go a bit deeper to get the ball and turn to face him, and he isn’t very gifted with the ball at his feet. He suits League 2 pretty well, be interested to see how he gets on with you.

    So that’s interesting. And yeah, bit of a gamble but a free signung who can play in a few positions! Should be at worst okay,..

    Well, I would be happy paying 50k for him. . . Up the U’s!
