Colchester United manager Geraint Williams has denied the U’s have offered out-of-contract Bournemouth star Danny Hollands a contract.
It was rumoured that the U’s had offered the former Chelsea midfielder a one-year deal in North Essex.
Williams told The Colchester Gazette: ‘That’s not true.’
However, he did not deny an interest in signing Hollands.
‘We are interested in any good player who becomes available,’ he continued.
‘We are actively looking at all areas of our squad with a view to strengthening it wherever possible.
‘But we never declare our interest in a player until a deal has been signed and sealed so as not to alert other clubs with bigger budgets than ours of his availablity.’

Is He Actually Lookin At Anyone?
Well reckon we are looking at Hollands and a few others, I think he’s wise not to confirm any interest as look what happened to Dan Fox in January…
well holland staying at bournemouth
With pre season just around the corner you would have thought most managers would want to have new signings in place by now.
