Colchester will be joined by 23-year-old Hungarian stopper Balogh for the game at Heybridge on Saturday.
Balogh has already had a trial with Hull this month.
Balogh, who has seven caps his country, has been allowed by his club MTK Hungaria and granted international clearance to feature.
With heavy rain forecast fro North Essex lets hope that the first friendly of the season is not a wash out.

We need defenders but someone with more experiance. Kenny Cunningham was released by Sunderland at the end of the season, we should take a look at him.
This guy has shown some promise and is an internetional so no slouch, he may be just what we are after, although Scraley and Layer road may be some kinda a culture shock.
I don’t think he would be able to go straight in and take Wayne Brown’s place playing 50 games a season, but for the long term he colud be good.
Agree with SteveG on this. Against the swifts on Saturday he played up front because there was not point in having a defence
