Vital Colchester’s latest poll asks fans if current boss Aidy Boothroyd is the right man to take the U’s forward?

The former Watford manager made an electric start in the U’s hotseat and the fine form continued until the New Year. However, following two heavy defeats at the start of 2010, the U’s, despite some fine February form, are currently in a six game winless streak.

Certain sections of the U’s support have called for Boothroyd to go, with his somewhat negative tactics frustrating many fans.

So we have asked YOU:

Is Aidy Boothroyd The Right Man To Take The U’s Forward?

:- Yes, he will bring us promotion!

:- No, his negative tactics won’t bring us success!

What a stupid poll! I think he is more than able to do a job. I find it insulting that the question has come up now, even in light of poor form of the last few matches. If we win promotion this season, it’ll be no thanks to the moaning no-show fans who complain the whole time and refuse to support the players or staff.

Not really stupid, seeing the negativity and general talk about Boothroyd and his tactics. I personally think he’s the right man but a lot of people dont! Up the U’s!

He certainly seems to have turned us from a confident successful side into a bunch of no hopers with no ideas and a total negative approach!

Maybe we have gone backwards a little but there again that bad patch was always going to come. I suppose it shows that the honeymoon period is over!

when we were doing well he kept saying in interviews; “we are work in progress” – well it looks like the work has finished and he has coached any sort of footballing ability out of us and resorted to just pumping it up the pitch

Agree with OJJ we have pretty much played rubbish for some time at home. We have a few good players but lack a really good midfielder who can make a telling pass (similar to Kevin Watson at his best). I actually believe we played more entertaining football in relegation year, we just need 2 good centre backs that season. The current midfielders are too slow and lack vision.
