Colchester United travel to Norwich with their Championship status all but confirmed.

Norwich, who salvaged a late 1-1 draw at Layer Road in December, sit precariously above the drop zone in eighteenth place.

The U’s will be hoping to get the three points against ex-U’s striker Jamie Cureton, who controversially returned to Carrow Road in the summer, and at the same time haul City back into a relegation fight.

Norwich City Team News:

New Signing Maceo Rigters is set to start for the home side, after signing on Wednesday.

Darel Russell (suspension) and Matty Pattison could feature, along with Darren Huckerby.

Adam Drury (knee) and Luke Chadwick (shoulder) remain long-term sidelined with long-term injuries.

Player to watch: Maceo Rigters

Rigters, who has joined on loan from Blackburn, topped the scoring charts at last summers U-21 Championship. The Dutchman will be looking to make a bright start to his Canaries career.

Colchester Team News:

U’s boss Geraint Williams has been handed a fresh injury blow ahead of tomorrows game, as skipper Karl Duguid (knee) misses out.

Defender Pat Baldwin and Jamie Guy both return to the U’s squad after knee and Achilles injuries respectively.

Chris Coyne, Luke Guttridge, Kevin McLeod, Teddy Sheringham and Danny Granville all took part in a light running session yesterday but are not match fit.

Kevin Watson (calf), Mark Cousins (appendicitis) Mark Yeates and Aiden Davison (both shoulder) miss out.

Player to watch: Kevin Lisbie

Lisbie will looking to add to his fourteen U’s goals on Saturday, after a smart strike in Tuesday’s defeat to Hull.

sorry chaps, but Naaarwich will be victorious, and Curo will stick at least one past you just to shut the boo-boys up… shame though, I’d much rather it was Ip***** in your league position, (so we’ll just have to be content with stopping them getting to the play-offs) – good luck with your survival battle, but it won’t start for you at Carrow Road..!
