Colchester United defender John White is hoping he will not be on the sidelines for too long after dislocating his elbow in the U`s narrow defeat against Bristol City on Saturday.
The 21-year-old full-back picked up the injury in a challenge with Robin`s winger Ivan Sproule and was carried off on a stretcher. White, who had a loan spell with Stevenage Borough towards the back end of 2007, has been a regular in the U`s line-up since the turn of the year, putting in some impressive performances.
White is hoping the injury is not as bad as first thought, he told The Colchester Gazette: ‘I can’t remember much about it but all I know is that I put my weight on my hand and he’s gone through my arm while it’s locked.’
‘Fingers crossed, it won’t be too long before I’m back.’ He added.

Was having an excellent game up until that point, their player had afters with him also that was unpunished
Yeah he was playing well, yeah Sproule seemed to stand on his hip aswell.
Indeed! The injuries upset the team, even though, as goalscorer Clive Platt has said, we took the lead after them! How did the formation work with the subs?
Well Granville isn’t taller enough to play centre-half, Jackson looked comfertable at left-back though. Hammond looked ok, will need to see him again before I make any judgements.
